Mosaics and Other Animals: Domestic Art in the Roman Cotswolds
Cotswold Archaeology Annual Public Lecture presented by Professor Roger Ling of Manchester University. The lecture will look at the Roman mosaics of the Cotswolds,
with particular reference to the so-called Corinium School of mosaicists
and its taste for compositions of Orpheus charming birds and beasts. Why
were such subjects chosen? And what were their decorative surroundings
(painted walls, textiles and furnishings)?

Archaeology at Greystones Farm Nature Reserve
The recent surveys at Salmonsbury Camps
commissioned by its new owners, the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust have revealed further evidence of the Neolithic causewayed enclosure
suspected to be present, as well as more information on the origins of the
Iron Age site.
Talk by Gail Stoten (Project Manager) to Bourton-on-the-Water
Local History Society.
